Born in Guyana, South America.
In 2003 He received his M.F.A. from The Hartford Art School at the University of Hartford.
In 1980 received his B.S. in Art Education from Illinois State University. During his art teaching career in Guyana, he held the position of Chief Art Instructor at the E.R. Burrows School of Art from 1985 to 1988.
